Ali lives in a small, peaceful village. Every day, he wakes up early to enjoy the fresh morning air. He loves the simple life and feels happy surrounded by nature. Unlike many young people in his village, he does not want to move to a big city. When his friends ask, "Don’t you want to explore the city and its exciting lifestyle?" Ali smiles and says, "No, I don’t. I love the peace here."
One sunny day, Ali is planting vegetables in his garden. His younger brother is playing with friends nearby, but Ali chooses to help his father. "What are you doing?" his friend Salman asks when he passes by. "I am watering the plants," Ali replies with a smile. Salman looks surprised and asks, "Why aren’t you relaxing today?" Ali laughs and says, "I want to finish my work early."
Ali has planted many trees over the years. He has not visited the city for a long time, although his uncle invited him several times. "Have you ever wanted to live in the city?" people often ask him. Ali always shakes his head and replies, "No, I haven’t. I love the quiet life here. I have been helping my father on the farm since I was a child, and I have never felt the need to leave."
Last year, however, Ali visited the city for the first time with his uncle. He saw tall buildings and crowded streets filled with people rushing everywhere. It was a completely different world from his village. He did not like the noise and felt out of place. "Did you enjoy the trip?" his uncle asked. "No, I didn’t," Ali replied honestly. "Why didn’t you enjoy it?" his uncle asked again. "I missed the calm of my village," Ali explained.
Yesterday, while Ali was planting more trees near the river, some friends came to visit him. They were surprised to see him working. "Were you working all morning?" they asked. "Yes," Ali replied, "I was planting new saplings." "Why weren’t you taking a break?" one of his friends asked. Ali smiled and said, "I wanted to finish the task before evening."
By the time his friends arrived, Ali had already finished his work. They sat together under a tree, enjoying the cool breeze. "Had you planned to work all day?" one friend asked. "Yes, I had," Ali said, "because I had been wanting to plant these trees for a long time." The friends laughed and admired his dedication. "Why hadn’t you rested earlier?" they teased. "I wanted to see the trees in the ground," Ali replied.
Next year, Ali will visit the city again, but this time only for a short trip. His uncle wants to show him the new market. "Will you stay longer this time?" his uncle asked. "No," Ali answered, "I will not stay for long." "Won’t you enjoy the new market?" his uncle wondered. "Maybe," Ali smiled, "but I prefer my village."
In the coming years, Ali will be studying new farming techniques to improve his village's crops. He will not be moving to the city, even though his relatives think he should. "Will you be learning more about farming?" his father asked. "Yes, I will," Ali nodded. "Why won’t you be thinking of moving to the city?" his father continued. "I want to use my knowledge here," Ali said with determination.
By next summer, Ali will have planted 100 trees in his village, making it greener than ever before. He will not have forgotten his love for the farm. "Will you have achieved your goal by then?" a friend asked. "Yes, I will have," Ali said confidently. "Why won’t you have left the village?" the friend wondered. Ali smiled and said, "I love this place too much. I want to make it better."
For six years now, Ali has been working on the farm tirelessly. He has not been considering leaving his village because his heart belongs here. "Why haven’t you been thinking about a different life?" his cousin asked once. Ali simply replied, "I find happiness in the simple things here."
And so, while
others dream of big city lights, Ali chooses the quiet, fulfilling life of his
village. He wakes up each day with a smile, ready to plant more seeds for the
future. His love for the land grows with every tree he plants, making his
village a greener, happier place for everyone.
